The Seminole County Transfer Station had an extreme build-up of airborne debris, which created significant challenges in maintaining clean, coatable areas necessary for painting. This debris accumulation necessitated a thorough cleaning process to prepare the surfaces adequately for subsequent coating.

Lamphier visited the Seminole County Public Works Department prior to the project’s start. Our team engaged with the department’s management to understand their specific needs and expectations, while conducting thorough site inspections to assess the extent of the airborne debris build-up. The team tested various cleaning products to determine the most effective solution for removing the debris and maintaining clean, coatable surfaces.

A customized solution was developed to address the specific challenges faced by the Seminole County Public Works Department. This included formulating an effective cleaning strategy using Simcon Solutions 10x Eco Cleaner to remove the extreme build-up of airborne debris without causing environmental harm. For the protective coating, Lamphier collaborated with Sherwin Williams to utilize Macropoxy 646 (Special Blue), which provided a durable finish while meeting the department’s operational and aesthetic requirements.

The outcomes of the project were highly successful. The Seminole County Public Works Department experienced a significant improvement in the cleanliness and maintainability of their surfaces. The application of Simcon Solutions 10x Eco Cleaner effectively removed the airborne debris, and the subsequent use of Sherwin Williams Macropoxy 646 (Special Blue) provided a robust protective coating.
